How It Works
A spring snap button usually has four parts:
- Cap (Top Cover) – visible outer part
- Socket (Female Part) – contains a small circular spring
- Stud (Male Part) – raised knob that fits into the socket
- Post (Bottom Support) – holds the parts in place
When pressed together:
- The stud pushes into the socket.
- The internal spring expands slightly.
- The spring snaps around the stud, locking it in place.
- You hear a small “click” sound.
To open:
- Pull the two sides apart with moderate force.
